Terms of Service
Last updated 23 July 2026
These terms govern your use of MCP Commons, operated by [company legal entity] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. Accounts
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure and for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service.
2. The directory and reviews
Every listed server passes our automated and AI-assisted review. That review describes our process. It is not a warranty that a tool is free of bugs, vulnerabilities or harmful behavior. You are responsible for deciding whether a tool is appropriate for your use. We may re-review, flag, unroute or delist any listing at any time.
3. Using tools and API keys
API keys authenticate your access and are yours to protect. Do not share them or exceed documented rate limits. Do not probe or attack the platform or the tools it hosts. Do not use the service to violate any law or third-party right. We may suspend access that threatens the platform or other users.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Paid tools are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until you cancel. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the plan you select. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment fails your access continues through a short grace period and is then removed until payment succeeds.
5. Creator terms
You keep ownership of code you submit. You grant us the right to fetch, review, host, run and display it and its metadata for the purpose of operating the service. You confirm you have the right to publish it and that it complies with its own dependencies' licenses. You are responsible for what your tool does with user data and credentials. We take a platform fee of [10%] on paid sales and pay out the remainder through Stripe Connect, subject to Stripe's terms.
6. Acceptable use
Do not publish or use tools that exfiltrate data without disclosure, contain malware, infringe others' rights or are designed to deceive the review. Violations may result in immediate delisting and account termination.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim.
8. Termination and changes
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. We may update these terms and will post the new effective date here. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction].
